Bank statements to QuickBooks, verified to the cent

A 3-column or 4-column CSV formatted for QuickBooks Online bank feeds, importable via Transactions → Bank transactions → Upload from file.

Before any file leaves Parseledger, the extracted figures must reconcile against the statement's own balances — opening + credits − debits = closing, checked line by line. What you import into QuickBooks is provably consistent with the paper.

This is the check every statement goes through. Try fixing the flagged row — the amount was misread as 68.44; the statement says 64.88.

Importing the file into QuickBooks

  1. 01

In QuickBooks Online, go to Transactions → Bank transactions.

  2. 02

Select the account, then choose Upload from file (under the Link account dropdown).

  3. 03

Upload the CSV Parseledger produced. It follows the QuickBooks 3-column or 4-column layout, so QBO maps date, description and amount without manual fiddling.

  4. 04

Confirm the mapping, import, and categorise as usual. The imported lines sum to the statement closing balance because the file was reconciled before it was exported.
